Is there any free parking?
Yes, Carparks D2-D5 are free for public use.
Does bus number 401 stop directly at the main gate of the resort during weekends, do this bus come from Bedok interchange or Bedok MRT?
Yes, Bedok Interchange.
Is Goldkist Beach Resort located at the same location as East Coast Resort/UDMC villa/ NTUC villa / Island Resort?
Yes but from March 2007 a new management has taken over and is operating under the name and Style of Goldkist Beach Resort.
BOOKING & AVAILABILITY
We have reserved and allocated villa unit XYZ, is this unit near the main gate or booking office?
Please look at the overview on where the villas are located. Also please note that villas allocated may be changed prior to checkin if any technical difficulty arises in the villa.
Is VILLA AVAILABLE ON “X” date & “Y” Month In GENERAL indicative availability can be viewed by clicking here.
Is it possible to book 1 NIGHT only?
In General Yes, but on some Peak day/Eve of public holidays it may be mandatory to take a minimum of 2 nights. Those dates are stated on booking form.

CHECK IN & PAYMENT
Can anyone check in without any authorization letter by just bringing copy of the reservation form and pay the balance amount?
Yes, however we need the NRIC of the person checking in and the original deposit receipt. The person who made the reservation may be contacted to clarify the person who is checking in.
Can we pay the balance deposit by NETs / VISA / MASTER CARD / CASH?
Either way is fine with us.
Can I stay a few hours more after the check out time?
Yes, but additional charges of $18/hour are applicable, subject to room availability and prior notice.
Change / Cancellation Related
What if I cancel my booking?
Cancellation request will be processed within 3 working days from our side and bank may take some time (about a week) to credit back your account. The amount returned may be less due to charges incurred depending on how late the reservation is cancelled. For cancellation charges policy see.
What if I change my reservation to another day?
Please note, changing the reservation is cancellation of old reservation and making of a new reservation. Cancellation charges will still apply to changes separately.
Rooms may have promotional/variable prices on certain/new dates, so changing the duration may effect price. Hence a suitable price adjustment may also apply for the same room type.
Why do cancellation charges exist?
It is very easy for us to sell in advance but quite difficult to accommodate last minute cancellations there are also other charges passed down to us such as bank credit card charges, processing fee, administration & taxes are still incurred, so to cover them there are cancellation charges.
Are Cancellation charges fixed to $100, $50, $20 one time?

Is the barbecue pit situated just outside each villa?
No, it has to be rented on a daily basis from a store in the clubhouse. For details & rates please see http://www.Goldkist.Sg/barbeque.html Are personal/electric BBQ pits permitted?
No, As being high load on electricity it can lead to electricity blackout/trip in whole block and leading problems to other guests.
Are extra chairs & tables available for rent? Yes they can be rented from mini mart
If we wish to wish to rent the mahjong table, do you also rent out mahjong chips?
Yes
Why do I need to provide Proof of stay to get the BBQ Pit?
This facility is meant only for Resort guests & not for outsiders, as there are only a limited number of pits.
Why cant I rent Table & Chairs from outside?
As each business has to protect their interest like in restaurant outside food is not permitted and in many resort outside catering is not permitted. Same way Goldkist Beach Resort has awarded the contract of this service to the mini mart & to protect their business interest; outside tables & chairs are not permitted.
Why is the rent of table & chairs rent from mini mart so expensive?
From outside it looks like the basic rent is cheap say $1/chair but they include delivery charges say $30-$50 per trip which combined together will be in range of $2-$3, which will be almost same as per mini mart.
My Caterer provided tables and chairs free of cost, can I bring those in?
Nothing comes free in this world. When you talk with them ask them to reduce the price accordingly as you don’t need this service from them, they will be easily able to factor the reduction.
What if I still insist to use my own?
In exceptional cases use can be permitted but you still need to pay to mini mart directly for equivalent amount of charges.
Is Mini mart run by Resort?
It is an independent operator entity & sets their own prices, services, business model & operating hours.
Are Banquet tables permitted?
No, tables of any kind are NOT permitted from outside sources in the resort

What is the Peace Zone?
The Peace Zone was made keeping the in mind the people who wished to 'get away from it all'. The worries of the working life quickly disappear when one comes into this zone and are overtaken by slow paced atmosphere and the beauty of the sea and beach. These rooms are kept in a peaceful and secluded area preventing almost anything from disturbing the peace. This is the ideal place to rest, relax and rejuvenate.
Gatherings of more then 4 people per room, parties, barbeques and catering are not allowed.
What is the Party Zone?
The Party Zone was made keeping the party people in mind. This Zone is usually filled with Corporate, Birthday and just normal parties. This is where a person wants to be when they have large gatherings, parties or barbeques. The pace of life here is much faster here with upto midnight parties and laughter filled air. However no of partying person per villa is limited to 15 only per room.
Why is barbeque not allowed in Premier Delux in Peace Zone (Blk L-U)?
Being located in Peace Zone, it is for the convenience of the guests who do not wish to have noise, smell, crowd and smoke. However, we have some similar villas in the Party Zone where this activity is allowed.
Is the Duplex also renovated? Duplex is also renovated but not so extensively.
Can i get a 2 storey unit similar to a Duplex but fully renovated? Yes, that is the Duplex Delux.
For villa, how many beds are there?
Suite: 1 King Sized Double Bed
Premier Delux Non BBQ: 1 King size double bed+ 1 Single size bed
Duplex: 2 Twin beds with 1 pullout beds
Premier Delux BBQ: 1 Queen size double bed+ 1 single size bed
Duplex Delux: 1 Queen + 1 Single
What are the basic electrical appliances?
Aircon, fridge, TV, electronic safe, hot and cold water in toilet are common appliances offered. Please look at the villas page for similar information. Kettle and Hair Dryer are available only on request depending on availability, to be collected from front office.
Are the villas renovated?
Premier, Premier Delux and Duplex Delux villas are extensively renovated and the Duplex has had some minor touch ups.
What are Swimming Pool Timing?

How deep is your Swimming Pool? 2.4 Meter For Lap Pool & a Baby Pool for children
Is There any Internet or WiFi? WiFi is available in the lobby only at the moment. There is also free wired internet access in the lobby along with a PC with internet access which is chargeable.
Is there any Bicycle shop around? Yes it is operating near villa F-13
Is there any Business Centre around? Yes, it is subject to additional charges.
Is there any Mini Mart ? Yes, which is providing basic items such as water, soft drinks, BBQ pits & related things, Ice and other sundry things.
How about security in resort? We have following security measures in place:

What if something is not working at the resort?
Though best efforts have been made to keep everything in order, sometimes some things may fail say pool, internet or lift. While each effort is done to provide services but still things fails at times. We will like to clarify that our main service is accommodation & all other such things are complimentary & cannot be termed as reasons for refund.
