What is this program about ?
This is about your real capabilities to make money. This is a one of a kind, first in the world, real business competition on how you can make money better then others. This is not a lottery, lucky draw or quiz contest.

Who can participate?
Anyone who is above 16 years old can take part regardless of who they are or where they come from. The main criteria is that the contestant should be able to speak English.

Is it only for Singapore residents/PR?
No, This show is not restricted by any races or status of the person in the country. Boarding & Lodging will be provided for those who are not residing in Singapore. However they will have to make their own flight & visa arrangement to Singapore.

Is there any fee for taking part?
No it is free.

Is there any minimum education requirement like Bachelor / O level?
No there is no minimum education requirement, as even an uneducated can make a million dollars.

Is there any Job/Business Experience required to participate
No, this is open to all, regardless of you being a seasoned executive, a person who has just joined the working industry or even if you are just a student.

Will only new or unique business ideas be selected?
No. The idea can be anything as long as you can convince the judges that you can make A Million from it.
It can even be as small as running a café or bookstall!

I wish to do a job and still will make My First Million. Can I participate?
Yes our judges will love to hear from you how you can make A Million in your job and with your other skills/saving plans.

How long will the program shoot be?
It is expected to be 15-25 days during mid-feb onwards and contestants are expected to stay with us during this period.

When the program is expected to be aired?
March onwards.

How can I take leave from my job/studies?
Well - it is tough but making a million is also not child’s play.

Why is the goal set to A Million Dollars?
This is the most common dream which most of us like to aspire for; to make 'My 1st Million!'.

How can I prove that I can make A Million?
You should have basis assumptions about your earning and expenses which should be reasonable and not too excessive or lower.
Where there is an element of uncertainty – you have to assume a fair chance of its occurrence.
Judges will validate your assumptions – consider cost/revenue in Singapore.

 

Do I need to have $10,000 to enroll in this program?

No, you do not need to invest anything from your side.

 

Will contestants get paid during the show?

No.

 

I have a unique idea, how it is protected?

We will not use that idea or circulate it around for our benefit but being a TV program the person has to be willing to share it in order to get it judged. We will not be able to take responsibility if anyone else copies it after seeing the show. Contestants are advised to do their patent/s or copyright/s filing accordingly at their own expense prior to show’s commencement. On the positive side, having an idea on TV might attract investment for them. Most of the times, ideas stay stuck as ideas, so it is up to you to decide if you want to share it to help get it started with guidance or hide it and hope one day you will be able to do it somehow...

 

Will I get air ticket?

There are sponsorships for candidates who are deserving but may not have money to purchase the ticket. Such candidates are to inform at the point of registration if they wish to be considered for such sponsorships. Ticket sponsorship is limited and not all may get it.

 

How can I get visa to come to Singapore?

We will issue a invitation / sponsor letter to assist you in attaining your visa. We advise you to file your papers early. Visa is subject approval from ICA.

 

Can I come in as a group of 2 or 4?

Participants can take help from their family, friends or peers on how to improve idea or concept but on the real show there will be only one person presenting the concept.

Mentors will be there to help and assist them during the show.

 

Can I assume I will borrow money from friends or relatives or banks to roll it faster?

Yes but you have to prove it reasonably.

 

What is latest date for Entry to be received by?

It is Feb 15^th 2010.

 

I am housemaid or nurse or - Can I apply?

Yes

 

How many activities can I assume I will be engaging in?

You have to select one main activity & a maximum of one side activity. Like those who are doing jobs can have part time job or tuition or similar things.
